How to Buy the Perfect Christmas Gift for Your Dog

When doing your Christmas shopping you can not forget to buy something for your dog. Dog is man's best friend. He's a faithful companion, a protector and a playmate. Reward her for a year of good behavior with one of these great gift ideas!

   Dog toys are the ultimate gift for your dog. Frisbees, tennis balls, chew toys, squeak toys, rope toys. The list is pretty extensive. Any NEW toy will be a great gift for your doggie. HOWEVER, if your dog does not already have a Kong you MUST get him or her one! Not only is it a sturdy play thing, but it's something that will keep your pooch occupied for a long time! You can fill them with dog treats, peanut butter, dog food or scrambled eggs. You can even freeze them for a special summer time treat! This is a MUST HAVE for every dog. They come in all sizes - from puppy or small dog to EXTREME for large dogs. They are very sturdy and stand up to a LOT of chewing. Kongs come in a bunch of cool colors and they range in price from $6.99 to $19.99. They even make Biscuit Kongs with several holes to stuff biscuits in, Kong Balls, Kong Frisbees and Kongs on a tug of war rope. A truly fun toy and a must have for EVERY dog. They are available at pet stores like PetCo and PetSmart as well as Walmart, Target and some grocery stores.

   You could also treat Fido to a new bed this Christmas. You don't have to have a pampered pooch to give your dog a little comfort and luxury. Dog beds come in all sizes, colors and price ranges. Give your furry pal a little comfort when he's sleeping!

   Treats! What dog doesn't like treats? Give your canine buddy some new treats - extra big raw hides or maybe a braided bone. Stuffed bones, pig's ears, peanut butter flavored biscuits.    Play time is a great gift for your K9 companion. You can either hire a service to come and give your dog some play time or you can make time each day to play with him yourself.

5. What your dog probably would most enjoy is some extra attention and your love. Give lavish praise and lots of attention.
