Things You'll Need:
- internet access
-
Step 1
Try MotownGirl.com. This site is one of the most comprehensive natural hair websites on the web. Motown Girl has been sharing her personal black hair journey since 2001. The site has several how-to’s of natural styles, homemade recipes of hair products, videos, and more. A particular favorite is the MG Monthly Spotlight. Each month a different person is featured.
-
Step 2
Check out Nappturality.com. This is one of the natural hair websites that you must register for. But registration is free; and, it necessary to access many areas of the site. You can spend hours at this natural hair website. It has pics, forums, articles, recipes, and more. Members in the forum are extremely helpful and supportive of others with natural African American hair.
-
Step 3
Look at Roshini.net. As far as natural hair websites go, this is actually a blog. And this blog is full of information. Roshini, the owner of the blog, has been natural for many years and has shared her personal experiences on the web since 2002. She even has pics on the site dating all the way back to 1998. You will find a lot of information on products and styling for natural hair. This is another one of those sites where it is easy to lose track of time.
-
Step 4
Find links for the above mentioned websites in the resources section.

on 2/22/2009 Afrobella.com is good, as well as longhaircareforum.com. Just make sure that you get your INFORMATION from factual/unbiased/scientific websites. All of the aforementioned websites (while inspirational) are breeding grounds for misinformation and scare. You do NOT want to rely on these women for factual info, no matter how tempting it may be. Do what's best for your hair, not what someone else says you should do.

on 2/22/2009 Great article. Its wonderful that more and more black women are going natural, however..be wary of motowngirl.com and nappturality. motowngirl.com is great for inspiration ONLY, a lot of the info posted on her site is far from accurate and some of it is propaganda. Same with nappturality....ESPECIALLY nappturality, in fact, I strongly advise anyone who is natural, but wants to occasionally straighten their hair to NOT post on nappturality. A LARGE chunk of them are somewhat rude and extremists.
