It can be tricky to know how to clean and LCD computer screen. These types of computer screens are sensitive to dust, smoke, fingerprint and more. This article will show you how to clean an LCD computer screen safely!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Gather the supplies needed to clean an LCD computer screen as stated in the list above.

  2. Step 2

To clean an LCD computer screen you need to shut the monitor off so that you are able to see the dirty areas more easily. It can be hard to see smudges or dirty spots when your monitor is turned on.

  3. Step 3

Dilute the distilled water and vinegar or the distilled water and iso-propyl alcohol 1:1 into a spray bottle. Use equal amounts of each and you won't need to use a whole lot to clean an LCD computer screen. Keep that in mind so you don't make more than you could ever use.

  4. Step 4

Lightly spray the soft cloth that you plan to use to clean the LCD computer screen with your distilled water mixture. Never spray the screen directly.

  5. Step 5

After you have sprayed your cloth, gently wipe the LCD computer screen from top to bottom, all the way across the screen.

Tips & Warnings
  • A handkerchief is a great soft cloth to use.
  • Never spray the solution directly to your LCD computer screen.
  • Do not use tap water. The dissolved salt will leave white spots on your screen.
  • Never use toilet tissue, kleenex or bath towels to clean your screen.
