Step 1
Invite your friends.
Find some holiday ecards online and invite your friends to a cookie exchange party. Make sure to include an rsvp, cause you'll need to know how many are coming.
Once you know how many are coming, let everyone know. Each person will make a certain number of cookies for each person who will be attending. I usually ask for a dozen per person, but you could scale it down to 6 if you like. (so don't invite too many people or you could be baking for a LONG time) -
Step 2
Each person will bake their cookies and separate them at home. They will pack their cookies in cute holiday tins, boxes or bags and bring them to the party. The hostess will have food and drinks for the guests to munch on at the party.

Step 3
When the guests arrive: eat, drink, and visit with each other. Then give out your cookies to each person there. Everyone will leave the exchange with a box of cookies from each guest, and have a great variety of treats to serve at home.
