Step 1
Digital picture frames can cost anywhere from 79 dollars up to 300 bucks. At first you think why any one would even spend more than 80 bucks on a picture frame? Think about it this way. Most picture frames hold one picture. If you have 20 pictures you want to display you would have to buy 20, 5 dollar frames to display all those pictures, where as a digital picture frame can display thousands. In the long run you save so much money. In addition they’re getting cheaper and cheaper every year, not to mention some of the higher end ones can link via wireless internet to your photo album on the net.
-
Step 2
The trick to buying the right digital picture frame is never settling for a resolution smaller than 640 x 480 anything under that rating makes the pictures look boxy. Trust me I own three and the first two I had to return because of that problem.
-
Step 3
Know your aspect ratios. Photo frames come in two aspect ratio flavors, 4:3 or 15:9. By default 4:3 is your best bet because most digital cameras capture photo’s in 4:3
-
Step 4
Last but not least make sure the interface is easy to use and never buy by name brand. This is a relatively new market for digital photo frames. I bought an HP photo frame and it was crap. What was interesting was that I returned it and purchased one from a company called Pan Digital which was cheaper and delivered by far way better images.
