Things You'll Need:
- Cake makeup
- Blush
- Foundation
- Lip color
-
Step 1
Wash your face before applying makeup. Use a gentle soap and makeup remover if you are wearing makeup already. Finish by applying a light moisturizer.
-
Step 2
Apply cake makeup. The base of your makeup should be a cake foundation. Apply the product with a sponge applicator and blend it carefully into the neck area so you don't have lines. If you are changing the actor's skin tone, make sure to cover all exposed skin.
-
Step 3
Highlight the actor's face. Use a foundation 1 to 2 shades lighter than the actor's skin tone for highlights and 1 to 2 shades darker for shadows. If you want the actor's nose to appear straight, use a highlighting foundation down the top of the nose.
-
Step 4
Make sure to apply blush in order to prevent stage lights from washing out an actor's skin. Use a clean hand to apply a cream blush to the apples of the actor's cheeks. Make sure to blend well so the actor doesn't look like he is wearing blush.
-
Step 5
Use a lip liner and lip color. If you want the actor to have a natural look, use a lip color that is 2 to 3 shades darker then the natural color. This will make the lips appear better on stage. Use a lip liner to outline the lips before applying the lip color.
