Cut a 6-inch piece of the ribbon or lace. Tie a knot in the center of it. Set aside.
-
8
Pull several inches from the ribbon spool. Pinch ribbon between fingers about 4 inches from the end. Make a loop about 2 and 1/2 to 3 inches long. Pinch between thumb and forefinger of one hand. Repeat on opposite side twisting ribbon if needed to keep right side up.
-
9
Continue to hold bow in firm grip and make two more loops on each side, alternating back and forth. Fluff up loops as you go.
-
10
Lay the knotted ribbon across the center of the corsage bow which you are still holding. Pull the ends of the ribbon around the bow center and tie tightly with your free hand.
Tips & Warnings
Flower stems on a corsage should always point down. If you are giving this as a gift, place in a cellophane or zipped bag. Attach gift tag to bag.
Floral stem ends must be wrapped to prevent tears in clothing of the wearer.
