Instructions

1. 

   Click the "Apple Menu" in the upper left-hand corner of your menu bar and select "System Preferences." Release the mouse click to launch "System Preferences."

2. 

   Click the "Accounts" icon to open the "Accounts" preference pane.

3. 

   Locate the new image file you wish to use as your new user icon. Click to select the picture. Drag and drop the image file to the current user icon in the center-right of the "Users" preference pane to update the icon.

4. 

   A new dialogue box/window will appear. Click the "Set" button to close the window. Click the red "Close Window" button in the top left-hand corner of the "Preference" pane to close the window and save your user icon preferences.
