Begin fasting 40 days before Christmas. Your fast won't be broken until Christmas day.

Set up a Christmas tree in your home or place of residence. Place presents underneath the tree to await their opening on New Year's Day.

On Christmas Eve, if you have children encourage, them to go from house to house singing carols. The local kids often use metal triangles or small drums as accompanying instruments--so if you have them, go ahead and use them. Inform your children that they will be rewarded at some houses with Christmas sweets or small gifts. Don't forget to dispense said treats to the child carolers who come your way, too.
-
4
On Christmas day, enjoy a hearty meal with loved ones. Be sure that the meal includes generous helpings of pork or lamb.
-
5
Just as on Christmas Eve, on New Year's Eve enjoy listening to carolers--and carol yourself from house to house, if you wish.
-
6
On New Year's Day, open all of the presents under the Christmas tree together with your loved ones. Merry Christmas!
