Goblins can be mischievous, dastardly, wicked or just out and out silly. Goblins in "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" are violent and scary, while in cartoons they can come across as goofy and clumsy. Instructions

    • 1

Draw the frame of the goblin. Add a large oval for the head and a circle for the belly. Add arms with bent lines and legs with straight lines. Add hands with small circles and feet with rectangular ovals. Add a cross shape to the face to mark where the eyes will go.

    • 2

Create some details on the frame. Draw the ear guidelines with triangular shapes, and add the cap with a droopy triangle hanging off the left side of the goblin's head. Add the loincloth with an upside down triangle.

    • 3

Create the facial guidelines. Add ovals for eyes. Draw small bent lines for the eyebrows. Add a smile with a curved line under the nose. Create the nose with a large triangular oval. Add the chest with a cylinder going from the head to the belly.

    • 4

Flesh out the form of the drawing. Add parallel lines around the Goblin's arms and legs to make them fuller. Add toes with five small circles on each foot. Add pupils to the eyes with small circles.

    • 5

Erase all the guidelines. Add a belly button with a small dot in the middle of the stomach. Add small curved lines to the outside edges of the smile. Detail the ears with parallel lines inside the ear shape. Flesh out the loin cloth with jagged lines to make it look like fur. Add folds on the cap with diagonal lines on top of the head.

    • 6

Ink the entire drawing. Let the ink dry. Erase all the pencil. Add back in any details that were lost when you erased the pencil. Now you have your very own wicked little goblin. Don't leave him alone in your room for too long or he might cause some trouble.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to let the ink dry before erasing the pencil.
