Instructions

    • 1

Determine your centerline on the back wall. Draw a plumb line down the back center of the wall as well as both front edges of the shower pan. Start at the top and use a level to make straight lines to the floor. The radius from one side to the other is the radius of the actual shower enclosure. Start at one end and measure all the way around to the other side. This measurement will determine the size of the unit you will need.

    • 2

Tape the back corner panels temporarily in place. The corner panels have a short and a long leg. Make sure the long legs extend towards the front on the side walls. Measure from the front edges towards the back 23 inches. Make a mark on the corner panels so you can cut them to size. Remove the panels and cut them straight, using a jigsaw.

    • 3

Measure the location of the control valve handles and the shower head. Start at the shower floor and measure up vertically. Also measure from the front edge back. This will ensure that you cut your holes centered. Use a holesaw.

    • 4

Place a mark on the center top of the back panel 14 3/8-inches from the vertical edge. This mark will line up with the center point mark made at the beginning. Use masking tape to temporarily hold up each panel as you fit them in place. The back and side panels will overlap the corner panels. The side panels will be installed by first lining them up with the two plumb lines made at the beginning.

Remove the panels once you are happy, and begin permanent installation. You must install the corner panels first. Place a zig zag design on the back of the panel using an 1/8-inch bead of adhesive. Put the panel in place. Do the same with the second corner panel.

    • 6

Clean the corner panels and backs of the remaining panels with rubbing alcohol to remove body oils. Oils can prevent proper bonding. Let the corner panels dry completely before installing the back and side panels. Install the remaining panels the same way as the corner panels. Wipe off any excess adhesive with mineral spirits and then soap and water.

    • 7

Caulk all the shower stall seams and edges with a tub and tile sealant. Caulk around the handles and the shower head. Replace the shower fixtures. Let everything dry before using the shower.

Tips & Warnings

  • After installing your 5-piece shower stall, consider adding support grab bars for safety. Install your shower stall over drywall, plywood, plaster, or painted walls. Make sure the walls are clean and dry.

  • Do not attempt to install your panels over grease, dust or loose paint. When placing the adhesive on the panels, do not use a perimeter bead, as this will prevent proper curing and venting.
