Instructions

    • 1

Find several friends to join you for Babies' Daddy Poker. The minimum number of players for Babies' Daddy Poker is four players, and the maximum number is seven. The ideal number of players is either five or six players.

    • 2

Direct each player to ante, and then deal two cards face down to each player. Each player is permitted to look at his own cards.

    • 3

Deal one card face up to each player. The first card dealt face up is called the Baby's suit. The king in the Baby's suit is considered to be wild. The queen in the Baby's suit allows the player who holds that card, if it is face down in her hand, to automatically win half the pot at the end of the hand.

    • 4

Conduct a round of wagering, with the player having the best face-up poker hand starting the wagering.

    • 5

Deal another face-up card to each player and conduct another wagering round with the player with the best face-up hand starting the wagering.

    • 6

Repeat Step 5 two more times, and then deal a final card face down to each player. Let each player know the lowest face-down card in his own hand is wild for just him. If he has any other cards that match the lowest face-down card in his hand, they are wild as well.

    • 7

Conduct a final round of wagering, which is started by the player remaining in the hand with the highest face-up poker hand showing.

    • 8

Reveal the hands and declare the winner. Remember that each player will have one wild card at a minimum, so players must declare their poker hand. If a player has the queen of the Baby's suit, she must reveal that and claim her half of the pot before a winner is determined.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have the queen of the Baby's suit after the first three cards are dealt to each player, you are guaranteed to win half the pot. It is advisable to bet moderately since you don't want to chase too many people out of the hand. The more people in, the larger your half of the pot will be, and you might win the whole pot if you have the highest ranking poker hand as well.

  • Remember everyone will have at least one wild card in Babies' Daddy Poker. This will result in higher-ranking poker hands being more likely to be declared. Keep this in mind if your hand is less than a full house and several other players are betting big on the hand.
