Instructions

Making the Cookies
-
1
Prepare sugar cookie dough and preheat the oven according to package instructions.
-
2
Place a ball of dough on a floured sheet of waxed paper and roll out the dough until it is about a quarter-inch thick.
-
-
3
Use cookie cutters to cut out your desired number of cookies in various shapes. Transfer the cookie shapes from the waxed paper to a cookie sheet.
-
4
Slide a candy stick or skewer under each shape. Insert stick at bottom of shape, so that the cookie is upright when gathered into the bouquet. Make sure the stick goes to about the center of the cookie shape. As the dough bakes, the cookie will adhere to the stick.
-
5
Add sprinkles or other decorations to the cookies prior to baking, unless you plan to ice the cookies. Do not add icing before baking.
-
6
Bake cookies according to sugar cookie mix directions.
-
7
Remove cookies from the cookie sheet, and then move to a wire rack after baking and allow them to cool completely.
-
8
Ice cookies and decorate them (if not decorated prior to baking) as desired once they are cool. Allow the icing to set.
Making the Bouquet
-
9
Wrap each cookie individually with plastic wrap, taking care not to mess up the icing. Do not wrap the sticks.
-
10
Gather cookies and arrange in a bouquet. Tie sticks with a bow, or place in vase.
-
11
Add a bow or other decorative touches to your vase, and your bouquet is ready to give.
