1
Tell children the story of Santa Claus. The more children know about the man in the red suit, the more likely they are to believe in his existence.
-
2
Encourage your child to write a letter to Santa. They can either mail the letter or take it to a local store or mall.
-
-
3
Visit Santa. Take your child to any local store or mall where Santa will be visiting. Having an actual person to visit helps reinforce the fact that Santa really does exist.
-
4
Send a reply letter or email to your child from Santa. A response to their letter helps them see Santa as a person instead of just a symbol.
-
5
Send your child a letter from Santa during the year. This letter can include information on how Santa and the elves are, encouragement for your child to be nice, and questions on what your child may like for the coming Christmas. This keeps children believing in Santa throughout the year.

Tips & Warnings
Reply to your child's letter in the same format they sent their letter. For example, reply to snail mail with snail mail and email with email. If submitted to a mall or store, you can choose either method. Stay as excited as your child about Santa and Christmas. If you don't believe, you can't expect your child to.
If sending a reply letter, be careful to disguise handwriting. You may want to have a family member or friend write the letter for you.
