How to make fruitcake cookies.
I know its that time of year for the
dreaded fruitcake.
you know the item that everybody seems to pass around from family to family because everybody hates it.
here is a fruitcake cookie that everyone will be coming back for.
so gather your kids and give these cookies a try.
they are easy and fun to make.
even if you hate fruitcake you will love these cookies.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon each soda & salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • dash nutmeg
  • 1 cup chopped mixed candied fruits
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  1. Step 1

    preheat oven 375 degrees
    gather your ingredance:
    * 1/4 cup butter
    * 3/4 cup brown sugar
    * 1 egg
    * 1/4 cup evaporated milk
    * 1 teaspoon lemon juice
    * 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
    * 1/4 teaspoon each soda & salt
    * 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    * 1/2 teaspoon allspice
    * dash nutmeg
    * 1 cup chopped mixed candied fruits
    * 3/4 cup raisins
    * 1 cup chopped pecans

  2. Step 2

    cream butter & sugar till fuffy , beat in egg.
    combine milk lemon juice ,gradualy add to creamed mixture.
    save 1/4 cup flour. sift remaining flour with soda ,salt & spices.
    stir into creamed mixture.
    mix reserved flour with fruits & pecans , blend into a dough.
    drop teaspoons full on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
    bake for 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees.

on 12/12/2008 Personally, I don't like fruitcake, but you make me want to make fruit cake cookies, it actually sounds good and looks easy to make! Thanks yet again, for another well written how to article.
