Things You'll Need:
- Few minutes of reading time
- Room Darkening Shades(If Applicable)
- Window Tint(If Applicable)
-
Step 1
Yellow Ear PlugsIf you are a day sleeper, noise is probably your biggest concern. Everybody is awake and running around. Trucks making deliveries, lawns are being mowed, kids are playing, etc. So what you will need to do if you don't have double paned windows is to simply buy some ear plugs. I've used those little yellow spongy plugs in the past and they worked wonders in blocking out the noise.

Step 2
Another huge distraction for people that sleep during the day is too much light. Depending on the location of your home or room, you could get heavy sun early in the morning or in the afternoon.
The best cure for that is to buy room darkening shades. There are a huge variety of them, ranging from roller shades to fancy cell shades. Living in California, I cut those types of shades on a daily basis. The most common are the *roller shades. -
Step 3
What if you normally sleep at night? If you are having problems sleeping at night, here are a few tips you can follow.
-
Step 4
Try not to eat a couple hours before going to bed.
-
Step 5
If you normally watch tv...watch something so boring that you will have no choice but to fall asleep.
-
Step 6
If you have children like me, put them to bed early. If they are older, have them turn down any music, computer or tv sounds. Maybe suggest wearing headphones or earplugs.
-
Step 7
If all else fails, try hypno doctor...Never heard of it?
Hypno doctor is a software program said to change your sleep management cycle.
