Wanna play pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey? Got an adventurous girlfriend and some handcuffs? Who knows but E-How says there's a demand for blindfold making articles out there and I happen to be a pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey enthusiast with a sewing machine so here's a how2-for-you...

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A sewing machine or a needle, thread, and a lot of patience.
  • Scissors
  • 2' of 1" wide elastic.
  • Fabric remnant.
  1. Step 1

Take a fabric remnant and cut it with your scissors to be about the size of your face. My super cool fabric remnant cost me $1.60 at my local craft store but this can also be a great opportunity to cut up one of your wife's uglier dresses or the sweater your Mom made for her dog or even your friend's hot girlfriend's sexified underwear.

  2. Step 2

Take your piece of 1" wide elastic material and cut a piece measuring 2 inches shorter than the diameter of your head.

  3. Step 3

Fold the edge of your fabric over the elastic and hold in place with your thumb and forefinger.

  4. Step 4

Having created this "tunnel" by folding the edge of the fabric over, remove the elastic and take your work over to the sewing machine.
My sewing machine cost me 20 bucks at a local thrift store.
My buddies coming over one weekend to get drunk and fire up the ol' PS2,seeing that I had actually bought a sewing machine and the two weeks of referring to me in public as their "seamstress friend"... Priceless!

  5. Step 5

    Sew the tunnel closed.

  6. Step 6

Run the elastic back through the tunnel. Overlap the ends of the elastic and sew them together. You have yourself a great blindfold.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can buy different kinds of elastic or sew some matching fabric over the exposed part like mine here in the photo.
  • Don't sew the ends of your blindfold together as this will not allow the cloth to conform to your face.
  • Don't suggest to your girlfriend that you wear the blindfold instead of her but remember that, if the blindfold works, she won't know you're looking at the picture of her hotter sister on the dresser.
  • Take the blindfold off before you drive over to the pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey party unless you have a very accurate GPS that gives audible turn by turn directions in which case you may proceed as long as you have been drinking.
  • Don't drink and sew. This is very dangerous.
