There are several Internet browsers out there. For Windows users Internet Explorer is the default browser that comes installed on your PC. But there are others that you can download and use including Firefox, Opera and Google's new browser Chrome. When you have multiple Internet browsers you can purposely or sometimes accidentally change which browser you use for your default browsing. Occasionally, you may want to go back to using Internet Explorer as your default browser. Here are the steps to change IE to your default browser.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Left click on Tools on the top menu bar.

  2. Step 2

    Go down to the bottom of the menu that popped up and left click on Internet Options.

  3. Step 3

    Left click on the Program tab.

  4. Step 4

    At the top of the window, it probably says "Internet Explorer is not currently the default web browser. Left click the button at the top that says Make Default.

  5. Step 5

    Additionally, you can check the box where it says "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default web browser". This will let you know whenever another web browser is made the default browser.

  6. Step 6

    Left Click OK.
