Keeping up to date with people in your network is just one dimension of Twitter, but what if you need to find out what's happening beyond your individual timeline? You can filter all real-time information being broadcasted, by coursing through Twitter Search.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Twitter Account

    Twitter Search

    Visit http://search.twitter.com, enter in your desired search query into the field and click the 'Search' button to 'See what's happening - right now' on all of Twitter.

  2. Step 2

    Real-time results of your search query will display in chronological order. For instance, if you input the term '24k gold', you will be able to see when the tweet was made, view the tweet and/or reply to the tweet directly.

    Along the right side of your custom Twitter Search results, more options are made available for you. You can subscribe to a feed for this query, tweet your results, show or translate tweets in various languages and even view hot trend topics.
