How to Make a Time Capsule with Boxes

It is becoming more of a tradition in homes to gather things and place in a time capsule container. Making these containers, filling them and opening them on the next New Years day are a fun thing for the whole family and can be repeated year after year. Making a time capsule box is enjoyable and very inexpensive to do with these easy steps.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• A Box with a Lid
• Paint
• Paint Brushes
• Scissors
• Stickers
• Craft Gems
• Glitter
• Ribbon
• Plain Present Tag
• Pen
• Family Items

1. Paint a box and the lid in any desired color(s) you choose and let it dry completely.

2. Fill box with items and pictures from your family's life. Make sure everyone puts in something that is important to them to add to the box. For added fun you can also sit together and discuss why you are adding each item.

3. Embellish the outside of the box with different stickers, craft gems and glitter.

4. Cut a length of ribbon to wrap around the box.

5. Wrap cut ribbon around the box and tie, attach a tag with the date.

6. Put away till next New Years day.
