How to Get Blood Out of Clothes With Hydrogen Peroxide

Whether from a cut, a scrape or a nosebleed, blood is inevitably going to find its way onto your clothing. And just as inevitably, it leaves a stain that many people find hard to remove. Instead of throwing away blood-stained clothes, you can use hydrogen peroxide and a little determination to eliminate the unsightly spot and keep your wardrobe intact.

Soak stained clothing in a bucket full of cold water for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Put on rubber gloves. These will protect your hands from the the hydrogen peroxide and keep them from drying out.

Pour hydrogen peroxide directly on the stain. Make sure to saturate the area completely. Dab the stain using a paper towel until the stain fades.

Rinse the hydrogen peroxide from the clothing with running water. Inspect the clothing for the stain. If the stain is still present, repeat Steps 3-4.

Wash clothing using cold water and laundry detergent in washing machine. Dry clothing using a dryer or line dry, according to clothing care label.
