If the blood stain is fresh, you are in luck. It is very easy to remove fresh blood stain on any fabric. Immediately soak your cloth in cold water with salt and rub it with your hands. The stain should come right off. It is important to remember that do not put any blood stained fabric in hot water. Hot water will make the stain set in the fabric and make it permanent.

If the fabric is white, you can bleach it if the stain does not come off on repeated washing attempts. Be careful with bleach, it will damage many delicate fibers such as wool and cashmere. But polyester, nylon, and cotton should be okay with bleach.

If you can not wash the stain immediately, use a stain removing pen on the stain as soon as possible.

Use some baking soda on the stain and rub the area with your hands.

Put some vinegar on the stain and rub the area with your hands.

A lot of delicate natural fibers do not tolerate chemicals bleach or hydrogen peroxide. Soak the cloth in cold water with salt overnight to remove the stain. Raise the cloth several times with cold water.

Avoid using hot water at any time during the washing.
