Step 1
If a word begins with one or more consonants, move the consonant or consonant cluster to the end of the word.

Step 2
Add the letters "ay" to the end of the word. So "pig" would be "igpay," "porker" would be "orkerpay," and "swine" would be "inesway."

Step 3
Simply add the letters "ay" to the end of the word if it begins with a vowel. Thus "animal" becomes "animal-ay."

on 7/4/2006 Always remember to add the consonants (If there isn't a vowel after the first letter in the word). I didn't add the consonants and no one understood what I was saying all day!

on 11/22/2005 Be careful of what you say. Sometimes people don't pronounce a word in Pig Latin correctly and say a completely different word.
