Make Chocolate Crinkles

These cookies are easy, delicious and indulgent. They taste similar to a brownie with a chewy center, yet they have a wonderful exterior that is almost crispy. It's the best of both worlds!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • # 4 T. butter or margarine # 1 c. chocolate chips # 1/2 c. sugar # 2 eggs # 2 t. vanilla # 1 1/2 c. flour # 1/4 t. salt # 1/2 t. baking powder # 1 c. powdered sugar
  1. Step 1

Put butter or margarine and chocolate chips in a small, microwave-safe bowl. Cook in the microwave for 45 seconds. Stir and cook for 30 seconds. Stir and continue cooking for 30 seconds at a time until chocolate is completely melted. Set aside.

  2. Step 2

Beat together sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Stir in melted chocolate. Add flour, salt and baking powder until combined. Refrigerate dough for at least 2 hours for easier handling. (If you are in a hurry, you could also put the dough in the freezer for half an hour.)

  3. Step 3

Using a tablespoon of dough at a time, roll into balls and roll through powdered sugar, making sure to coat completely. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
