Things You'll Need:
- a variety of masks
-
Step 1
Pick out the masks you want to try on. There are different styles, and sizes for men and women. Some masks can be adapted to corrective lenses if you need them.
-
Step 2
To try on a mask, place it on your face WITHOUT pulling the strap over your head. Push gently on the front of the mask with a finger, as you sniff a bit through your nose.
-
Step 3
This should create a seal, and the mask should hang on your face without the strap being in place. The seal and the water pressure are all that is needed to keep the mask on your face. The strap is just there to keep from losing it if it gets bumped off. If the mask loses it's seal and won't stay on your face, it will also leak in the water. Be sure that your hair is not under the seal.
-
Step 4
Try a few different masks, until you find one that creates a seal on your face and gives you the field of vision that you enjoy.
