Things You'll Need:
- Mineral foundation in a shade that matches your skin
- A large makeup brush
-
Step 1
If you are new to mineral foundation, keep in mind that most are a loose powder that you must apply with a brush. A large brush works best for foundation, since you'll get more coverage in less time. Your makeup brush should be clean and dry before you use it.
-
Step 2
Gently open the lid to your foundation. Some minerals may end up around the edge of the lid and spill, so make sure you have a paper towel or some other disposable cloth underneath for easy clean up.
-
Step 3
There should be a small amount of minerals inside the lid. Swirl your brush inside the lid to pick up some of the minerals. A little goes a long way, so start small and add a little at a time until you reach your desired coverage.
-
Step 4
Begin applying the makeup to your face, starting on your cheeks and working your way up and around. Work the minerals up into the hairline and pay special attention to any areas that have shadows, such as the nose and the eye lids. Buff the minerals, gently rotating the brush in circles until you achieve a smooth and flawless appearance.
-
Step 5
You're done! If you prefer extra coverage, you can add more minerals to the lid and start again.
