Do you always feel like your driving to the grocery store and still forgetting something? If so, with a little bit of planning and organizing, you can be cutting down your trips to the store and saving a lot of money too.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A notebook and pen
  • A few minutes
  1. Step 1

The first thing you want to do is plan your meals for the whole week. Ask other members in the household what they would like to eat and write down some ideas...

    Mahi Mahi Monday's,
    Taco Tuesdays,
    Take out Pizza on Wednesday,
    Thursday- Stir Fry,
    Friday- Fish and chips,
    Saturday- Spaghetti, and
Sunday- Frozen Pizzas and Salad and so on...

  2. Step 2

After you put together a menu for the week you can start looking through your cabinets and refrigerator to see what needs to be thrown out, what you already have for your meals, and what you need to buy... Key words: WHAT YOU NEED TO BUY! Look in the bathroom and check toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo etc. See if you need any laundry soap or dryer sheets. Take a look around and check for anything out of stock or that is low. Ask everyone in the house if they need anything as well. This step will get easier with more practice...

  3. Step 3

Look for coupons on items on your list. These can be in the store, online or in your Saturday newspaper. Even using a few will help cut the cost of your bill.

  4. Step 4

Now you are ready to go to the store. Hopefully you remembered everything or at least everything to get you through the week. Enjoy all your extra time!

Tips & Warnings
