    Find a place to stay:
Cancun caters to 4 million tourists every year, and is one of the top spring break destinations in the world. A variety of accommodations can suit your needs, ranging from the most luxurious hotels along the coast to the more affordable motels found in the areas near the mainland. Cancun’s Hotel Zone is home to a number of all-inclusive hotels and resorts that include private vacation rental accommodations as well, such as Punta Nizuc and Riu Palace Las Americas, which are very convenient to tourists. Typically included in the hotel package are meals and snacks, drinks, entertainment, water sports, and discounted tours to the different Mayan sites.

  3. Step 3

    Find Things to Do:
Families will never run out of activities in Cancun. Visit the Interactive Aquarium and swim with the dolphins, go on Jungle Tours and Jeep Adventures, or shop at La Isla shopping mall or at the city markets. The nearby island of Cozumel also offers an assortment of watersports, such as fishing, snorkeling, diving and boating.

Food is never a problem in Cancun, with the many restaurants and bars littered in the area. Many offer fresh seafood dishes with a Caribbean touch, such as The Cove Cancun and La Habichuela. For a more authentic Mexican meal, one can choose to visit restaurants in downtown Mexico, such as Tumbaburros, the famous La Parilla Mexican Grill, and the artsy El Pabilo. The nightlife in Cancun is bustling, with bars like the Coco Bongo, Carlos and Charlie’s, The City and Basic Discotheque Cancun. For live music entertainment, try downtown’s Los 4 Elementos.

  5. Step 5

    Get Away:
Aside from its unsurpassed beaches, Cancun is also the gateway to Mexico’s rich history of the Mayan World. Temples and other Mayan sites, such as Ruinas El Rey and El Meco, can be found in the area. In nearby states, one can also visit more remarkable sites, such as the Coba, Xcaret and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Chichen Itza.

The warm enticing weather and the crystal clear waters, coupled with the lush Mexican history and culture, definitely make Cancun one of the top beach destinations in the world!
