If you are planning on baking a ham for Christmas, Easter or for any reason at all, here is a fast and easy recipe for a delicious ham glaze.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup of packed light brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon of ground mustard
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to do is gather all of your ingredients together. The amount of ingredients in this recipe is enough to glaze a 5-6 pound ham that is either boneless or a bone-in ham. It can be easily doubled to accommodate a larger ham.

  2. Step 2

Mix the brown sugar, orange juice and ground mustard together in a medium sized mixing bowl. If you prefer, you can use pineapple juice instead of orange juice for the glaze. Mix together until brown sugar is well diluted into the juice.

  3. Step 3

Brush the glaze over the ham during the last 35-40 of baking. Garnish the ham with whole cloves and either sliced oranges or pineapple rings depending on which juice you used for your glaze.

Tips & Warnings
  • When you remove your ham from the oven, be sure to let it rest for about 10 minutes with a tent of aluminum foil over it before carving.
