Step 1
The quality of the liner' s fit is directly related to the completeness and care taken in measuring.
-
Step 2
Don't assume anything. Considerable time and dollars are lost because a contactor or homeowner assumes that a 20' x 40' pool is exactly 20'-0" x 40'-0". Dimensions vary among manufacturers and the pool as it exists today, may be different than the original specifications.
-
Step 3
The liner company will produce a liner that is slightly smaller than the dimensions you give them, to allow the liner to stretch into place. So please measure, record, and order your liner on the basis of exact finished dimensions of the pool.
-
Step 4
The dimensions called for in the liner order form are based on pools of basic design. These pools are constructed with straight walls and sharply defined changes of plane. Your pool may not be exactly like these. Contact a pool company for advise on measuring or us the link below for help.
-
Step 5
You may encounter a pool that is not symmetrical and could be a "left" or "right" such as an "L" Shape or a Kidney. You will need to specify locations if steps as being on the left or the right side. in order to eliminate confusion all reference to left or right should be made as if looking from the deep end towards the shallow end.
