Things You'll Need:
- Computer with internet access
- A few minutes to spare
-
Step 1
Be realistic, you’re not going to earn a ton of money filling out surveys. But if you make an extra $20 I’m sure it will come in handy.
-
Step 2
Never pay a fee to join or for a list!
-
Step 3
Sign up for a different email address and use that one to receive your survey email. There a several sites that offer free email, Google, and Hotmail are two that come to mind. There’s nothing worse than getting a ton of spam when you’re expecting an email from your boss or friend.
-
Step 4
When you sign up with a survey company you will need to fill in some personal information. Your address, family members and their ages, race, sometimes a PayPal address, etc.
-
Step 5
Be careful, sometimes the site will say you will receive a bonus for signing up. After you sign up it will ask you to complete offers, stay away from these.
-
Step 6
Check the company out. Surveypolice.com is a good place to do this or you could check different forums.
-
Step 7
Sign up with several survey sites. You can find sites by typing “Surveys” in your Google search bar. I have included a couple of sites that I like, check resources.
-
Step 8
Check your email often to look for survey opportunities; in some cases these opportunities are limited to a set number of people.

on 1/19/2009 They'd be paying me to STOP because I tend to give extreme, unheard of responses that ruin the curve! 5*

on 12/30/2008 I belong to a few sites myself and like you said you won't get rich but that little extra comes in handy at times.

on 12/26/2008 Thanks for mentioning Surveypolice.com. I hadn't heard of this site. I enjoy doing surveys with two companies, but would like to find more opportunities.
