Website promotion is not difficult once you learn a few easy techniques. While it may take some time and effort, the following methods will drive targeted traffic to your site quickly.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make Comments - Perhaps the easiest way to increase the amount of targeted traffic that visits your site is to make relevant comments on other blogs in your niche. Look for sites that have a large amount of traffic or a higher page rank. Ensure that your comments add to the discussion. No one cares if you like or dislike the blog, but they may follow your comment to your blog if you spark their interest enough.

  2. Step 2

Participate in Forums - When you develop friendships with people within your niche, you increase the chance that these friends will visit your site. Never try to scam people with your website promotion. Never try and make a few quick sales at the expense of your online reputation.

  3. Step 3

Participate in Social Bookmarking Sites - You can send high levels of targeted traffic to your site by simply participating at sites like Digg, StumbleUpon or Reddit. Again, quality contributions and consistency are the keys to success in your website promotion.

  4. Step 4

Post Frequently - I have heard it said that content is king. While I agree to an extent, if you write one extremely well written post only once a month, you will not receive the targeted traffic you are looking for. Set a posting schedule that works for you and stick to it. You will gain readers once they realize that you will be adding content on a consistent basis.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make relevant contributions. Do not make spam comments. The author will most likely just delete your comments without any further thoughts.
