Things You'll Need:
- Time/Patience
-
Step 1
First thing that really helps increase your page rank when you Keyword Optimize (SEO) is using long-tail specific keywords. Having your keyword be "water" is bad. Your page is going to be competing against too many other pages with the keyword "water." Instead try a phrase like "best tasting spring water." The more specific the less competition generally, and the more money you will make if you're advertising.
-
Step 2
On your page you want to use that phrase as your title. If you can get away with "bolding" the text, do that too. Also H1 tags seem to make the keyword stand out to search engines.
-
Step 3
You want to use that phrase in your first paragraph to keyword optimize. Again, if you can bold it, then bold it.
-
Step 4
If your page has a link, make sure you use the keywords in the link text. Also, bolded.
-
Step 5
Finally, use your keyword string again in the last paragraph of your page. By placing your keywords like this you should be able to greatly increase your search engine visibility without too much hassle. Very easy and basic tips that will help you keyword optimize.

on 8/14/2009 I am still getting the hang of SEO. I like the example of great tasting spring water instead of just water. Thanks!
