How to Change a Tire

If you have a flat, and need to change it out, here is how you go about it

Things You'll Need:

• Tire wrench
• Tires
• Jack Stand

1. How to change a flat tire... Most cars and trucks come equipped with a spare tire, and a tire kit for changing out a tire... Locate these things... Know where they are. Lets say your driving down the road and pop one of your tires go's flat.

2. Pull over to a safe spot off the road. Get out your change kit and your spare. Go ahead and get your jack ready to use. Get down on your knees and look under your car, make sure you put your jack stand under the thick metal of your car, otherwise you will punch a hole into the floor of your car. Once you have located this part, start jacking the car up.

3. Once you have the car up, you will know this by the fact that you can spin your tire around with out it stopping itself. Take your tire wrench and start loosening up your lug nuts one by one..... Go ahead and undo them, but keep them close by, you dont want to lose them trust me! Pull the flat tire off...

4. Take the spare tire, and line it up with the holes on your wheel. Put the tire on... Grab your lug nuts, and begin putting them back in one by one. However, when you go to tighten them, make sure you do them cross ways, never around the wheel... Hand tighten them first. Then slowly let down the jack stand, and pull it out.. Take your tire wrench and finish tightening up the lug nuts as tight as you can... Pop the flat and the change kit in your trunk and away you go.

Tips & Warnings

• Know where your spare and tire change kit are located.
• Pull off to a safe spot off the road
• Jack up under the thick metal of the car, so you dont put a hole in your floor
• Tighten cross ways, not around the wheel.
