Sometimes a good Philly Cheesesteak sandwich really hits the spot after a long hard day. With a little planning you can can come home to this classic by preparing your steak in the crock pot. All you need to do is put your sandwich together and enjoy!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Crock Pot
  • Thinly sliced Breakfast steak
  • Diced onions and Bell Peppers
  • A1 sauce
  • Soy sauce
  • Hoagie Rolls
  • Provolone or Swiss Cheese
  • Lettuce, tomatoes and other sandwich fixings
  1. Step 1

Separate out about a pound of thin sandwich steaks, rinse them and put them in a small crock pot. If desired, you can cut the steak into smaller pieces.

  2. Step 2

Chop up about a half of a bell pepper and half an onion and put this in the crock pot with the steak. Sometimes I like to chop these ahead of time and keep them in my freezer. If you do this add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the mixture.

  3. Step 3

Add 3 tbs of A1 sauce, and 2 tbs soy sauce to the crock pot. Stir until everything is coated. Turn on the crock pot on low heat

  4. Step 4

Carry on with your day. The crock pot can be left on low while you are at work or running errands. At least 4 hours later, prepare your sandwiches.

  5. Step 5

Cut hoagie bread lengthwise and put Swiss or Provolone cheese on one side. Put these in the oven or toaster oven for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.

  6. Step 6

Add steak and pepper mixture on top of the cheese. And other desired sandwich fixings and enjoy!
