Learn how to get rid of stubborn blackheads that are embedded deep down in your pores.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hot Water
  • Mild Facial Cleanser
  • Exfoliator tool like Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator
  • Exfoliating facial scrub like St. ives Apricot Scrub or something similar
  1. Step 1

Wash your face with warm water with a mild facial cleanser. Preferably a cream rather than a soap. After your face has been washed lightly pat dry your face.

  2. Step 2

Next take an exfoliating scrub like St. Ives Apricot Scrub or something similar that has lots of scrubbers in it and dab it on your face. Then use the exfoliating tool to massage the scrub all over your face. Do not stay in one area for more than 2 minutes. If you have sensitive skin you may need to try a shorter time. Focus the exfoliating tool on your nose or t-zone area where you have blackheads.

  3. Step 3

Rinse face with warm water and pat dry. Next you will need to steam your face. Try leaning over the sink with your head right above the faucet with a towel draped over your head and covering the sink. Turn on the hot water and let it run so that as the steam from the hot water goes up it stays inside your towel and steams your face. Do this for 10 or 15 minutes if possible.

  4. Step 4

After you have steamed your face then exfoliate again only on the areas where the blackheads are. Repeat the steaming and exfoliating as many times as you can without causing your skin to become irritated. Usually 2 or 3 times a day three times a week. Some may need to do this less depending on how sensitive your skin is.

  5. Step 5

Just keep repeating steam, and scrub. Then after your pores are good and opened and you have gotten rid of the many layers of dead skin cells try and lightly mash the blackheads out. Dont press to hard or you might bruise your skin. When blackheads are deep down in the pores and have been there for long periods of time they are are harder to get out because they are under many layers of dead skin cells. Thats why the exfoliater helps and steam to open yout pores.
