To ensure that Santa brings you stocking stuffers this year make a stocking.! Stockings are easy to make and personalize, and you will be able to spread Christmas cheer in your own home.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 stocking (small, medium, or large size)
  • Craft Paint
  • Fabric Markers
  • Newspaper
  • Flat surface to work on
  • Smock (optional)
  1. Step 1

The first step you should do to make a Christmas stocking is to place newspapers down on a flat surface. Put your stocking on top of the newspapers, and put on your smock. The newspapers will keep you from getting paint on your furniture etc. and the smock will protect paint getting on you.

  2. Step 2

Think about how you want to decorate your stocking. I suggest writing your name with your favorite color using either fabric paints or fabric markers. On the top of most stockings there is a white fluffy part. This is where I recommend your write your name. Names look especially pretty written in cursive.

  3. Step 3

Think of a few designs to put on your stocking. Be careful when you put these designs on your stocking that you do not smear your name. Some easy and fun designs to make are stars, hearts, and wreaths.

  4. Step 4

Once you have finished designing your stocking, let it dry on the newspapers for a full 24 hours. Be careful if you move the stocking to another location. Make sure other people in your home know that it is wet so they do not smear your beautiful creation!
