Make a Gift Tower

Gift towers are impressive ways to present someone with a gift. You can use this method to create a 7 tier tower for a 7 year old's birthday, a 5 tier tower for a 5 year anniversary, a 12 tier tower for the 12 days of Christmas, or for any other occasion.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get gift boxes that will stack on top of each other with each one being slightly smaller than the next to create a tower. You can select plain boxes that you will wrap, decorative boxes that do not need wrapping, or hat boxes. Decorative boxes can be found at craft stores or larger retailers.

  2. Step 2

Select your gifts. It is best to make your least expensive items in the smaller boxes and the more expensive items in the larger boxes since the smaller boxes will be opened first. You can add candy, coffee, books, a gift card, hand lotion, costume jewelry, or other inexpensive items to the smaller boxes. The larger boxes can contain housewares, expensive jewelry, electronics, or other items that gift receiver really wants. If you like, the largest box can contain something really special like an engagement ring, the keys to a new car, or a new computer.

  3. Step 3

Wrap the boxes, unless they are decorative and do not need wrapping. Stack the boxes on top of each other like a tower and add ribbon around the group of boxes from the top to bottom. Add a big bow at the top. The finished gift tower may be taller than the gift receiver! Imagine the surprise when the gift receiver sees the tower.

  4. Step 4

If you like, you can give one box per day or one box per hour.
