1
Get into the swimming pool and start looking at the liner on the pool walls. Concentrate your search right at or near the water line because that is the first likely spot for the leak to be.
-
2
Continue looking for the leak until you've gone all the way around the pool walls. Do not stop when you find one leak, continue looking for others just in case.
-
3
Get out of the pool if you were unable to find the leak and start looking for dampest patch around the outside of the pool, or spots where water is forming where it shouldn't.
-
4
Get back in the pool and start looking over every inch of liner. Start with the areas near the damp patch because that is a likely place for water to be leaking.
-
5
Squirt a small amount of food coloring near a spot you think might contain a leak. Make sure there isn't a current in the water when you do so. If the color gets sucked into the liner, you've found a leak.
