Things You'll Need:
- Internet access
- iPod
-
Step 1
Visit the iTunes Store. You can download free music and videos every week from iTunes. At the iTunes Store main page, there's always a section at the very end of the page listing free music for the week. New music is released on Tuesdays, so check it weekly.
-
Step 2
Go to the blog that tracks all the free iTunes music store giveaways. You can subscribe to their RSS feed (link in the 'resources' section at the end of this article). The blog follows free music and videos.
-
Step 3
iT's Free Downloads (link in 'Resources' section below) also tracks free iTunes downloads, including music from some of the international iTunes Stores. This is a great way to expand your musical habits! Try playing some international music while you whip together an international menu!
-
Step 4
Amazon.com is a great place to find free music. Even if you just have a regular mp3 player and not an iPod (I'm not here to tell you what is the best mp3 player!), you can still get free music downloads at Amazon. Start at the Amazon mp3 Download Page. In the menu, you'll see an option for Free Songs and Special Deals. You can also go to the mp3 download section and look for particular artist and see the full listing, including free music.
-
Step 5
Feel cultured! You can find free downloads of classical music at mFiles
-
Step 6
You can download free stories for kids at Storynory. Free kiddie music, including educational music, can be found at Free Kids Music.
