Life is hard. Too many things causes us to stress. But now you can help yourself by eating foods known reduce your anxiety and stress levels.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The easiest thing is to eat Complex carb foods to reduce your anxiety and stress. Complex foods take longer to break down than sweet treats and cause the brain to release serotonin. Complex-carbs include, whole-grain breakfast cereals, pasta and oatmeal!

  2. Step 2

Eat plenty of oranges. Vitamin C can reduce the stress hormones in your body.

  3. Step 3

Other foods to include are spinach, fatty fish (tuna and Salmon are excellent), black tea, pistachios, avocados, almonds and lots of raw vegetables.

  4. Step 4

Bed time snacks are important. Carbs before bed can release serotonin and help you sleep better. But a heavy meal can cause heartburn. Stick to something simply like toast and jam.

  5. Step 5

Add a glass of milk before bed. Calcium can help relax muscle spasm and tension and can help calm some anxiety and stress.

  6. Step 6

Finally find some good herbal supplements. St. John's Wort is best known for fighting stress and depression.
