How to Buy and Sell Gift Certificates

Everyone is looking for a way to make their money go a little farther in these hard economic times. Do you have a gift certificate that you don't have a use for? You can sell it to someone who does. Do you need to buy something and know the store you want to buy it from? Buying a discount gift certificate is a guaranteed way to get a discount.

Instructions

1. BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES AT A DISCOUNT - STEP 1: Go to swapagift.com and click on "buy" on the top menu bar.

2. BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES AT A DISCOUNT - STEP 2: When you reach a page with search criteria you can enter the criteria you are interested in. TIP: Many of the offers you will find are for trading one gift certificate for another with a different company, if you are looking to buy one for cash (at a discounted price), click the "Show only cards that are available directly from Swapagift.com" option above the search button.

3. BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES AT A DISCOUNT - STEP 3: Click on the offer you are interested in, and then click "buy this card".

4. SELL GIFT CERTIFICATES - STEP 1: Go to swapagift.com and click on "sell" on the top menu bar.

5. SELL GIFT CERTIFICATES - STEP 2: When you reach the sell page choose "Get Cash for Your Card". List the information on the gift card you are interested in selling. NOTE: The balance on your card will need to be between $25 and $200. You will receive 65% to 70% of the gift card's value depending on where the card is from.

6. SELL GIFT CERTIFICATES - STEP 3: Send your card to swapagift.com.

7. SELL GIFT CERTIFICATES - STEP 4: Swapagift will send your payment within 48 hours of verifying your gift card balance.

Tips & Warnings

• If you prefer to swap instead of sell a gift certificate, you may be able to swap for equal value.
• Some companies have gone out of business lately and gift certificates have been voided. Use or sell any gift certificates you have to ensure you benefit from their value.
