Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Spinning orientation class
  • Spinning Manual
  1. Step 1

Sign up for Spinning Orientation class. Go to spinning.com and sign up for a course. You can find courses in your area by entering in your zip code.

  2. Step 2

Take the one-day orientation class. The one day class includes two rides with a Spinning Master Instructor. The instructor will show you how to set up the bikes, proper techniques, and forms, and will then get you motivated to get out there and lead your own class. You will also get the Spinning Instructor Manual at this orientation.

  3. Step 3

Study the Spinning Instructor Manual. You will receive this book at orientation to prepare you for the online assessment. Everything you need to pass the assessment is in the manual. So, get studying!

  4. Step 4

Take the assessment. Once you are ready to take the assessment, get online at spinning.com. Log on to your account and click on the link labeled "Online Assessment Test." Go ahead and take the test.

  5. Step 5

Wait for Spinning certification card. Once you take the assessment and get a score of 80% or higher, you will get a Spinning instructor card in the mail that will make you a certified Spinning instructor.

  6. Step 6

Keep current. You will need to take continuing education to keep your currency. The Spinning Certification Card is good for two years. You will need a minimum of 14 STAR points every two years. There are a variety of ways to get STAR points by taking online courses, quizzes, or attending workshops.
