If you've ever thought about buying a bonsai tree then you need to know how to take care of it. Bonsai trees are can be a ton of fun and are pretty easy to care for.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Give the bonsai tree water. This is probably the most important step in caring for a bonsai. Watering three times a day is a good schedule to follow. Make sure to water the plant and not just the soil. This will help with dusk build up and wash the plant.

  2. Step 2

Make sure you have the proper soil. Many seasoned bonsai owners use 65-70% grit and 30-35% humus for evergreens and vice versa for deciduous trees. This balance will help with moisture retention as well.

  3. Step 3

Finally you should keep your bonsai shapely pruned. Too much foliage can be bad for the plant and the root system will have a hard time keeping the plant healthy.
