You can make your own Egg Nog this holiday season! You want to know the real reason they add alcohol to Egg Nog? To kill the taste of the carton!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Egg Beaters
  • Milk
  • Sweetner
  • Vanilla Flavoring
  • Cinnamon
  1. Step 1

Truly good Egg Nog does not need the taste of alcohol to be enjoyable. In fact, up until someone decided that raw eggs would kill you if you even considered ingesting one, the best Egg Nog was made with, yes, shudder even think of it - raw eggs!

  2. Step 2

However, now, due to the miracles of science and the FDA, you can make Egg Nog at home without the horrible side effects of alcohol that tastes just as good as I used to make so many, many years ago!

  3. Step 3

To one quart of Grade A 100% Milk, add 1/4 cup of sweetner. I'm ashamed to say I still use plain old white, granulated sugar, but, hey, I only make it once a year!

  4. Step 4

Add a one pint container of Egg Beaters. (If you really want to buck the system and live on the edge, add TWO WHOLE EGGS!)

  5. Step 5

Toss in a tablespoon of Vanilla flavoring. (This really is all the alcohol you need!)

  6. Step 6

Mix violently in the milk carton or a blender if you have one.

  7. Step 7

Pour into mugs and sprinkle with Cinnamon.

  8. Step 8

Enjoy! It's a great pick-me-up and kids like it when there's 'nothing good to eat'!

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't tell anyone there is no alcohol it it! They will never know the difference!
  • Seriously, avoid the raw egg - there are reasons the FDA spreads those rumors!
