How to make Maple Nutty Bars

Things You'll Need
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
- 12 ounces butterscotch chips
- 1 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 (four-serving) package noninstant vanilla pudding
- 1 tablespoon maple flavoring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 pounds powdered sugar
- 2 cups salted peanuts, chopped

Combine chocolate and butterscotch chips into a saucepan. Cook on a low setting, stirring constantly, until the chips have all melted. Stir in the peanut butter.

Grease a jellyroll pan. Pour one-half of the chocolate-butterscotch-peanut butter mixture onto the jellyroll pan, and spread evenly with a knife. Refrigerate until the mixture has set.

Melt the margarine in a sauce pan, then stir in the milk and pudding mix. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove the pan from the heat, then stir in the maple flavoring, vanilla and powdered sugar. Spread on top of the layer of the chocolate mixture in the jellyroll pan.

Stir peanuts into the remaining chocolate mixture, then spread over pudding. Chill. Cut into squares or bars to serve.
