Make Sweet Potato Fries

If you want something different than regular french fries, try this low-fat, healthy, and great tasting alternative! Sweet potato fries have a sweet, yet salty taste that instantly make them a family favorite. You'll never go back to 'fried' fries once you've tried the oven-baked version!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sweet potatoes
  • Oven
  • Baking sheet
  • Baking foil
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Olive oil
  • Non-stick spray (optional)
  • Sea Salt (regular salt is ok)
  1. Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Place baking foil on your baking sheet, with some non-stick spray on it.

  2. Step 2

Cut the sweet potato(es) into either rounds or long strips, depending on your preference. Usually the strips cook faster, depending on how thick they are.

  3. Step 3

Place the cut up sweet potatoes on the baking sheet. Pour olive oil (about 1/2 tbsp. per potato) over the fries, distributing evenly. Sprinkle sea salt over, as much as desired. (again, 1/2 tbsp. per potato is a good average)

  4. Step 4

Bake for 15-25 minutes, or until the edges get crispy (again to your taste). Take out, let cool, and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you wash off the sweet potatoes first
  • You can use non-stick spray or butter spray instead of olive oil
