Organize Laundry

If you are spending too much time with your clothes, you might need to learn to organize laundry.

From Quick Guide: Laundry Guide
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Set up your laundry system. You can either use rubbermaid bins, laundry baskets or some other sort of container. You will need at least three containers for your laundry.

  2. Step 2

Label each container. One should be labeled whites, one should be labeled colors, and one should be labeled delicates.

  3. Step 3

Teach your family what to put in each bin. Jeans and other dark colored clothing should go into the bin labeled colors. Sheets, towels and other light colored clothing should go into the bin labeled whites. Underwear and other clothing that might need to be hand washed should go into the delicates container. Everyone should organize laundry by putting it into the correct bin.

  4. Step 4

Wash each container of clothing separately. Organizing laundry before you make it to the washer, will make washing clothes much quicker and easier.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you have a separate area for clothes that should be dry cleaned only.
