When your wig looses it's sparkle and style you can revive it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Shampoo
  • Spray Gel
  • Oil Spray
  • Light weight hairspray
  1. Step 1

Soak your Synthetic wig in cold water with wig shampoo and conditioner as well as other products made for wigs from where you purchased your wig. Let is soak for about 5-30 minutes, depending on how soiled it is. Swoosh around in the water and then remove and squeeze water out. Put fresh clean water into bowl or sink and swoosh wig to rinse several times. Refresh your water and repeat until water is not cloudy. Remove wig and squeeze water out, shake and roll into a towel. Press towel to absorb water. Remove and shake.

  2. Step 2

If you have a wig head, place your wig on it and spray with spray gel. Arrange hair in the style you prefer. Let dry. If your wig has lost its wave: using clips or rollers, set the hair into the style. Spray with a light weight hairspray or the one you purchased with the wig. Let dry.

  3. Step 3

When the wig is dry remove from stand and shake. Make sure the wig base is dry. It is preferable to style with your fingers or a pick rather than a brush. Holding the Spay Oil 12 inches away from the wig lightly spray to achieve shine.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have no hair of your own, your scalp will feel more comfortable with a wig cap (made of stocking material)and it will stay on better as well as protecting your wig from oils and perspiration from your scalp.
  • Use an elastic chin clip to hold your wig on while styling.
  • Bring to a wig specialist for any trimming or restyling needed.
  • Wigs do NOT need to be cleaned as often as natural hair.
  • With synthetic wigs be sure and remove or cover with a scarf if you are around any intense heat. Desk lamps emit a lot of heat; Ovens and stove burners will produce enough heat to singe the synthetic hair.
  • If you would not put a bread bag near "it" then don't put your hair near it.
