How to Prepare Easy Crock Pot Brisket

How to Prepare Easy Crock Pot Brisketthumbnail
beef brisket

Beef brisket is always a hit and it can be so simple to prepare. I like to cook but some days I know that I will not have time to spend in the kitchen. Instead of eating out or stopping for take out I often prepare dinner in the crock pot. The smell of dinner already prepared when I arrive home always makes me happy. This recipe came about because beef brisket is one of my husband's favorites. It will be falling apart tender when it is done.

    Things You'll Need

    • Crock Pot
    • 2 to 3 pound beef brisket
    • 1 envelope of onion soup mix
    • 1 bottle of chili sauce, it is sold in the condiments section of the grocery near the ketchup
    • 12 ounces of Coca-cola
    • 1 lb red potatoes, peeled and halved
    • 1 lb bag of ready to cook baby carrots
      • 1

Place the chili sauce, onion soup mix and Coke into the crock pot slow cooker. Mix together.

      • 2

Add the beef brisket and vegetables into the crock pot slow cooker. Make sure the beef brisket is submerged in the liquid.

      • 3

Cover and set your crock pot to cook on high for approximately and hour and then shift to low. Mine does this automatically. If your crock pot does not you will be OK cooking on low all day as long as you are cooking for at least eight hours. The beef brisket is done when it is fork tender.

    Tips & Warnings

    • The vegetables are optional. I added them to the recipe because I prefer to cook a complete meal at once.
